COVID-19 Policies & Information

Face Covering Policy

Individuals are asked to properly wear a face covering or mask when moving about the facility and can remove it while exercising. Fully vaccinated employees not engaged in a classroom setting are exempt from wearing a face covering or mask when moving about the facility.

See the University Policy below for more information:

“Individuals participating in indoor sporting activities (e.g., indoor University Athletics events, intramural sports, exercising at Bourgeois Hall, etc.) may remove Face Coverings only during active participation in the sporting activity. All inactive participants, coaches, staff, and spectators must wear Face Coverings while attending any indoor sporting activity.”

Towels

Front Desk
No towels are availble at this time.

Fitness Desk
Maintanence towels are next to the desk for partons to use during their workout. Sweat towels will be available for check-out with your Cajun Card starting June 7th.

Equipment Checkout

Front Desk
All items are now available to be checked-out woth your Cajun Card.

Fitness Desk
All items are now available to be checked-out with your Cajun Card.

Lockers

Locker Rooms
Lockers can be reserved for free at the Front Desk. You must provide your own lock.

Fitness Center
Lockers are be available for daily-use checkout with your Cajun Card in the Fitness Center.


Student Fitness Center Changes

Updated Policies

  • Mask are required (covering nose and mouth) at all times, including during exercise
    • Masks can be removed to drink water but must be put back on immediately following
  • Patrons are encouraged to distance themselve from others

Student Aquatics Center Changes

  • Masks are required (covering nose and mouth) when entering and exiting the building and locker rooms
  • Patrons are encouraged to distance themselve from others
  • There will be no Family Hours or swim lessons

Basketball Court Changes

  • Masks are strongly recommended in the courts
  • Masks are required (covering nose and mouth) when entering and exiting the courts

Reporting

If at any point in the day any students, staff, or faculty utilizing the open recreation court spaces experience any of the listed symptoms, you are not allowed to come to campus, including Rec Sports facilities. If the listed symptoms are experienced while within Rec Sports facilities, then please leave immediately.

  • Fever, cough, chest pain or pressure, chills, sore throat, headache, shortness of breath, muscle pain, or loss of taste or smell
  • If any student experiences these symptoms, it is important for them to complete the Student Self-Report Form on the University website
