Small Group Training

The Small Group Training program offers structured group programs to any UL Lafayette students, faculty/staff, or current Rec Sports Spouse Pass members. Classes are led by Rec Sports Personal Trainers who have experience in both one-on-one and group class settings. The trainers develop a specific exercise program based on the class focus and participant needs and abilities. The goal is to teach progression of fitness training, create healthy habits, and build a positive community.

Registration/Payment:

We are offering 3 different classes this semester! Find a description and the registration form for each linked below. Once submitted, bring confirmation email and cash or check to the Rec Sport Office to complete the payment. Payment is required prior to the first class.

Classes

Strength Training

Class time: Tuesdays from 7p-8:15p
Location: Bourgeois Hall 105E
Dates: February 4th-March 31st (no class February 25th)

Have you been intrigued by the new wave of functional training? This Functional Training class is a great opportunity for all levels of experience to learn some new moves. The program is made for people who are interested in calisthenics (body weight) workouts. Calisthenics has become popular because it is a very affordable and simple way of training. Functional Training is meant to help you develop strength and mobility and learn some simple, unique ways to accomplish your goals.

Functional Training

Class time: Wednesdays from 7p-8:15p
Location: Bourgeois Hall Training Studio
Dates: February 5th-April 1st (no class February 26th)

Are you trying to get stronger? This strength program, led by two experienced Personal Trainers, will teach you what it takes to develop strength. In this program, you will learn how to properly warm up and execute basic strength movements.

Women on Weights

Class time: Thursdays from 7p-8:15p
Location: Bourgeois Hall 105E
Dates: February 6th-April 2nd (no class February 27th)

Calling all ladies! This motivating class is for women who want to learn proper lifts and progressions in the weight room while increasing their confidence through self-empowerment topics! WoW empowers women to lift weights and transform their bodies through strength training. Become comfortable in the weight room by learning the proper mechanics to basic lifts and tailor your strength training program to your personal goals.
