Rec Sports Facilities COVID-19 Information


Summer 2022 Aquatic Center Update: 

The Department of Rec Sports - Student Aquatic Center Lap Pool will be reopening on Monday July 11th, 2022. 

Due to continued renovations and maintenance, the Leisure Pool and Spa will remain closed for the season. Family Hours will not be held this season as the Leisure Pool will not be open.

Student Aquatics Center

The Student Aquatic Center has everything you need to get a great swim workout, plenty of space to relax in our leisure pool on the pool deck, and a sand volleyball court for a littel competition with friends!

Lap Pool

Our 8-lane heated lap pool is 25 yards (70 laps is a mile). We have kick boards, fins, and other swim equipment for a comprehensive workout. 

Leisure Pool

The leisure pool is a resort-style pool that has a beach entry that you can easily walk into. The depth goes from 0 feet to 4 feet and there is a volleyball net read for your use! Also included are 2 water features and a current cannel you can relax and float around.

Pool Deck Area

The pool deck has plenty of lounge chairs ready for you and multiple picnic tables, including a table with accessible seating. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcomed on the deck but are not allowed in the pool. No glass is allowed anywhere at the Student Aquatics Center. 

Sand Volleyball Court

The court has a a net and out-of-bounds markers. Grab a volleyball, a few friends, and you're ready to go!

Locker Rooms

The lockers rooms offer access to and from the Bourgeois Hall main building. There are restrooms, showers, and lockers. More information on lockers can be found on the Front Desk Services page.
