Intramural Sports Complex

The Intramural Sports Complex has multiple lighted field currently being renovated to turf. In addition, the complex building includes a technology-equipped classroom, restrooms, and water stations. The facility houses many Intramural and Club Sport and events, and also will be open to eligiable individuals (see below) at schedule times. 

Please note: The Rec Sports Complex is at a different location than Bourgeois Hall, but is very close! The address is 500 Coliseum Rd. Lafayette, LA and it's a quick walk through Bourgeois Park from the bus stop. See the image at the bottom of the page.

All patrons must follow Rec Sports policies and can lose access if they do not comply. Rec Sports staff has final say on policy adherence.

Facility Policies

  • Use of the facility is limited to the following individuals:
    • UL Lafayette students, staff, and faculty
    • UL Lafayette authorized users
  • Fields may only be used when supervised by Rec Sports Staff
  • If the gates are locked, the complex is closed
  • Unauthorized use may be considered trespassing
  • All users should be prepared to present a current, valid Cajun Card unless authorized by University officials
     
  • The folllowing are PROHIBITED within the complex:
    • Pets
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Illicit drugs
    • Vehicles
    • Glass containers
    • Bicycles
    • Taboacco products
    • Skateboarding
    • Metal cleats
    • Scooters
    • Drones
    • Hoverboards

Turf-specific Policies

  • Food, sunflower seeds, and gum are not allowed on artificial turf playing areas
  • Participants engaging in recreational activity on the sports fields must wear athletic footwear
  • Equipment may not be moved without permission of Rec Sports Staff
  • Serving or cooking food is only allowed with advance written permission of Rec Sports
  • Rec Sports Staff have final say on decision-making authority regarding behavior not explicitly covered in the rules and the authority to remove patrons who do not abide by their decisions
